ABOUT ORLOV
Beyond medals and titles — the journey that forged ORLOV
Introduction
Yevhenii Orlov is a world combat athlete whose career spans Greco-Roman wrestling, sumo, and mixed martial arts. An Olympian, a Sumo World Vice Champion, and an MMA World Champion, he has built his legacy across disciplines that demand strength, discipline, and resilience. More than titles and records, Orlov represents a philosophy: Rise Above. His journey is one of perseverance against every obstacle, carrying the name ORLOV as both a brand and a battle cry.
“Push Beyond. Rise Above.”
Early Life & Family Foundations
Born on January 30, 1989, in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, Yevhenii grew up in a loving and supportive family. His father, Viacheslav, his mother, Natalia, and his uncle Oleksii introduced him to the discipline of sport from an early age. Morning runs, bodyweight exercises, and gymnastics laid the foundation for his future as a combat athlete. At six years old, he stepped into his first gymnastics hall, and by the age of ten, he found the discipline that would define the next decades of his life: Greco-Roman wrestling.
From the very beginning, his family formed the heart of ORLOV TEAM — a team that would later grow to include coaches, partners, sponsors, and close friends. This team remains the backbone of his success, the unshakable core that makes every achievement possible.
Greco-Roman Wrestling Chapter
Yevhenii’s wrestling career quickly rose from local competitions to the world stage. Years of relentless training carried him to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he represented Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling. Along the way, he became a multiple-time national champion, a European medalist, and one of the most formidable heavyweights of his generation.
The Olympic chapter was both a pinnacle and a turning point. Beyond the visible results, the journey was marked by battles not only on the mat but also outside of it. These unseen struggles, just as defining as the medals, shaped his path toward the athlete he is today.

Competing across disciplines tested his adaptability and reinforced his identity as a complete combat athlete.
But this chapter was only a bridge to the next arena — mixed martial arts. The move into MMA was not just a change of sport; it was an evolution of purpose.

Professional MMA Career
Orlov made his professional MMA debut in 2018 with a first-round submission victory. From that moment forward, he established himself as a dangerous heavyweight presence, competing across Europe in major promotions.
In 2019, he relocated to Prague, Czech Republic, where he began training and competing under Renegade Prague Gym — a move that marked the next evolution in his career. Surrounded by a dedicated team of coaches and training partners, Yevhenii refined his striking, wrestling integration, and all-around MMA performance, setting the foundation for his dominant run in the years to come.
In 2023, he captured the IAF World Heavyweight Championship and rose to the #1 ranking among Czech MMA heavyweights. That same year, he defended his standing in a high-profile cross-promotion event, proving once again his resilience even while fighting through injury. Every battle carried the spirit of ORLOV TEAM into the cage — family, coaches, training partners, sponsors, and supporters united behind a single name.
In 2024, Yevhenii moved to the United States to sharpen his craft at the legendary Jackson Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, training alongside some of the greatest fighters in the world. His sights remain set on the highest stages of the sport, fueled by the same ambition that has carried him from wrestling mats to MMA cages worldwide.

The Power of ORLOV TEAM
Behind every fight stands a team. For Yevhenii, ORLOV TEAM is more than a concept — it is his foundation. At its heart is his family: parents, sister, and close relatives who have been with him since the first steps of his journey. Surrounding them are his coaches, sponsors, training partners, and friends who embody the same loyalty and determination.
Together, they are not just supporters but the very backbone of every victory. Without them, no medal, belt, or achievement would have been possible. ORLOV TEAM is the unbreakable circle that transforms individual strength into unstoppable force.
Philosophy — Rise Above
More than an athlete, Yevhenii Orlov stands as a symbol of endurance and determination. His personal motto — Push Beyond. Rise Above. — reflects a mindset forged through years of discipline, sacrifice, and the pursuit of greatness.
He embodies the spirit of being unbroken, unshaken, and relentlessly moving forward, no matter the obstacle. Every challenge has been fuel; every setback has been a lesson. Through sport, he continues to demonstrate that true victory is not only about winning titles but about standing tall when the odds are stacked against you.
Closing Note
The story of Yevhenii Orlov is far more than a list of medals and fights. Behind every visible milestone lies a journey marked by trials, triumphs, and transformations that cannot be captured in records alone.
What the world sees is only part of the whole. The deeper story — the struggles, the sacrifices, and the defining moments — remains to be told in full, in time. Until then, Orlov continues to live his philosophy in every arena: to Rise Above.
